 NATIONAL INTEGRATION is really a myth unless the
poorest sections of the Society are elevated. The
poorest sections of the Society live in the
Villages. Victims of Social, Economic and Political
injustice. The poor have to be organised.
The poor must be enabled to join the mainstream of
development.
To this end was founded CROSS.

ORIGIN & NATURE :
CROSS is a Non-Profit Voluntary Organisation / Non-
Governmental
Organisation established by a group of committed
Social Workers. It
was registered under the Societies Registration Act
XXI of 1860,in 1993. It has also been Registered with :Ministry of Home
Affairs under Foreign
Contribution Regulation Act of 1976.
The Organisation is an expression of the Dalit
Poorest people in the coastal
Districts of Andhra Pradesh.
To come together and make an organised response
against injustices and
voice the need for creative initiative for
development by CROSS.
The membership of the organisation is drawn
exclusively from the Friends,
Donors, Contributors and Like Minded People.
OUR SERVICES CATERED TO:

 Children - The most needy Orphans, Child Labourers,
Prostitute Children and Ill fate disadvantaged.
- Women - The weakened.
- Prostitutes - The Poverty stricken section
- Lepers - The Societal fellow beings.
- Handicapped - The unfortunate.
- Health - Children, Maternal, Aged & Others Medical
and Health Care.
- The Environmental Care - We responded to
Natural Calamities and Disasters.
- Poor & Ignorant Peasants.
OUR OBJECTIVES :
- To promote Human Values through non-violent
approach.
- To promote and strengthen the peoples organisations
for sustainable
development.
- To promote literacy rate among adults as well as
children by reducing
school dropouts.
- To promote thrift, self-help, savings groups among
women.
- To promote sustainable Mother and Child care centres,
Health Programmes
with special emphasis on preventive aspects.
- To provide Rehabilitation Centres for Vagrant
Orphans, Child Labourers
and ill fate, disadvantaged Children.
- To Provide Homes for the Aged.
- To enable Youth to become productive and useful to
their family by acquiring
Vocational skills.
- To Establish Agricultural Co-operative movement for
small and marginal
Farmers to reduce dependency on money Lenders fro
crop inputs.
- To respond to Disasters through Relief and
Rehabilitation Centres.
- To facilitate the peoples responsibility in managing
the resources.
OUR VISION :
 The present day conflict in Society is caused due to
the lack of proper
Vision about the intimate interlinks between its
surrounding development
and Faith adopted up to now. If viewed through
Socio, Economic, Educational,
Health and Political context, our vision will be
focused for Children,
[Orphans,
Prostitute & Lepers, Child Labourers, Ill fate &
Disadvantaged ].Handicapped,
Lepers, Aged, Women, Small Farmers, rag pickers and
Rickshaw Pullers. We are very much touched by the
problems of these target groups. Inputs have already
began and necessary information has been collected.
We wish to give
priority to Social Housing and Sanitation as it is
one of the basic needs and
the thatched roof huts in no way serve the purpose
in Summer Fire Accidents
and in Cyclones.
WHAT CROSS HAS ACHIEVED SO FAR :
* A Child Labour School established with 50
Children, by providing formal, semi-technical
education with Boarding & Stipend.
* STD/ HIV/ AIDS awareness campaign and distributing
condoms among 600 commercial women sex workers
{Women in Prostitution} in 6 places in West and East
Godavari Districts.
* STD / HIV / AIDS awareness campaign, distributing
condoms and intervention with Truck Drivers.
* Health Education, Free Medical and Eye Camps
providing with support of Local Govt. and other
Donors.
* Food Stuffs and Clothing provided for 93 Lepers at
Tadepalligudem, Bhimavaram and Nidadavole.
* 15 Women Self Help Groups on Thrift and Savings
formed in 8 Mandals and Women Bank to be established
with 1000 target Rural Women.
* Source of Income has been created to both Youth
89, and women 360, through skill development
trainings in Handicrafts.
* Free coaching camps conducted for various
Competitive Exams to 431 poor,
needy and economically backward students.
* Formation of local association, Women Sanghams,
Youth Sanghams etc.,

Dear Friends,
Our Gratitudes to you all for having enabled us to
respond to the needs of poor
and ignorant. Our efforts have started bearing Youth
become productive, Women
recognised, Middle men avoided etc., Still the
magnitude of the problems like
Child Labour, Street Children, Lepers, Handicapped,
Rural Women, Aged people
Rag pickers and Rickshaw pullers is rather powerful
to digest.
We, therefore want to prioritise the areas at the
top and initiate necessary action
on war foot basis. As our present resources are very
very limited .
We need your co-operation and assistance in taking
the above said problems.
We believe our united efforts will certainly cater
sustainable development
in the lives of poor and needy. We assure you of
timely and regular reporting
once in every quarter.
