"Then He (Jesus) said to them, 'The harvest is indeed plentiful,
but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest,
that He may send out laborers into His harvest.'"

Luke 10:2
(World English Bible)

Pastor K. Chaitanya Kumar's Testimony

Pastor K. Chaitanya KumarI was born in a Scheduled Caste family on 26 January 1964. I hail from Kovvali of Denduluru Mandal, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. My parents accepted Jesus Christ in the year 1954. I am their first son, and I accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized in the NAME OF JESUS at the age of 16 years in the Pentecostal Church. I have respect for all the doctrines in the Bible as the Bible is the Word of God.

Since I am the "First Fruit" in the family, even before my birth my parents dedicated me for the Lord’s service. I was brought up in a Christian atmosphere. I used to attend Sunday Schools, Youth Leagues, and worship services in our church besides the open air crusades, too.

I studied up to X Std. (10th grade) in Yernagudem village and XII Std. (12th grade) in Eluru; and I graduated from Andhra Christian College in Guntur. Then I enrolled in Andhra University in Waltair to do my Post Graduate studies. I received my M.A. in Philosophy, was first in my class, and even received a Gold Medal and many cash awards. Later I received another Masters Degree in Education in the same Andhra University.

While I was studying for my Masters in Philosophy, I was reminded of my dedication by my parents. My intuitive knowledge touched me very much to become the "Servant of GOD". I knelt down and spent hours in prayer, to know the will of GOD for me. His voice spoke to my spirit, "The Lord has a specific purpose for you and you should become the servant of GOD."

Samuel, Grace Roseline (standing), Rebecca Angeline, Sarah SujaniUpon completion of my studies for the two Masters Degrees, I was selected to work as a Lecturer in the Gokul College of Education in Nalgonda. While I was working as a Lecturer, I met Sarah Sujani Aparanji and later married her on 11 May 1990.

In addition to bringing my lovely wife, Sarah, into my life, God has blessed us with two beautiful and bright daughters, Grace Roseline and Rebecca Angeline.

During my leisure time, I used to go out to preach the Gospel to the people in the villages around Nalgonda Town. I used to organize prayer cells, Youth Camps, and Sunday school competitions. But I was not satisfied with the ministry I was doing.

One night as I waited upon the Lord in prayer to guide me according to His will, His Spirit told me to "resign your job and take up My yoke." I shared my personal experience with my friends and relatives about the call of God. Some told me that being a highly qualified man, I could get a good salary and position anywhere; but my wife, parents, and relatives advised me to obey the will of God. I thought, "And His appointed season, He brought His Word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the Command of God our Saviour." This became my thinking and commitment. So, I resigned my Lecture job and took up the ministry of the Gospel and Social Work in our area.

In 1993 I selected Tadepalligudem in Andhra Pradesh to be the center from which I would start my ministry. The Lord Jesus gave a Commission: "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15)." I also believed this Word: "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world (James 1:27)." My desire then and now is to be a servant of His Great Commission for evangelization.

Besides Church for the Distant Ministries, I have also established the Child Rural Relief Organization to provide education, medical care, and nourishment to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Now my fellow 200 pastors and co-workers are working in the villages and tribal areas of Andhra Pradesh. Not only in our State Andhra Pradesh we are reached and have Pastor's Network in 3 States in India. We are fervently praying to God to help us to do more effective work to win many more souls for His glory. For the sake of the glory of God, we are working hard for the expansion of His Kingdom in this heathendom among the un-reached people.
